ECONOMY
ISTAT releases May unemployment rate date (0800 GMT) and Q1 deficit/GDP ratio data (0900 GMT).
Italy posted a state sector budget deficit of 13.4 billion euros ($14.37 billion) in June compared to a shortfall of 13.1 billion euros in the same month last year, the Treasury said in a statement on Monday.
COMPANIES
UNICREDIT CRDI.MI
The Italian bank said on Monday it was challenging the terms set by the ECB for it to cut its exposure to Russia, and seeking a ruling from the EU's General Court and a freezing of the request in the meantime.
STELLANTIS STLAM.MI
Italy's Transport Ministry said on Monday that car sales in the country came in up 15.02% in June year-on-year. Stellantis held 30.04% of the Italian market, according to Reuters calculations.

Brokerage Stifel resumed coverage of the energy group on Tuesday with a "hold" rating and a target price of 6.40 euros.

The Italian defence and aerospace group is in advanced talks with Germany's Rheinmetall RHMG.DE to set up a joint venture for ground weaponry, daily Il Sole 24 Ore reported on Tuesday.

Italy's Treasury has picked accounting firm KPMG to put a price tag on PagoPA, a company handling digital payments to the public administration, as it prepares to sell the business to the state-owned postal service, people close to the matter said on Monday.
TELECOM ITALIA (TIM) TLIT.MI
The Italian former phone monopoly completed on Monday the sale of its fixed-line domestic access network to U.S. fund KKR KKR.N.

The Italian engineering group's unit Nextchem said on Tuesday it had won new contracts worth about 30 million euros awarded by leading international clients mainly in the Middle East and Europe.

Milan, Italian luxury goods companies association Altagamma presents "Altagamma Consumer & Retail Insight 2024" (0830 GMT).
