Three French nuclear plants given production restriction warnings

PARIS, Aug 7 (Reuters) -French utility EDF issued production restriction warnings on Wednesday for several days at three nuclear power plants due to high temperature forecasts on the Rhone river, the company said in a notice.
The warnings were issued for the Bugey nuclear plant between Aug. 10 and Aug. 15, and for the Saint Alban and Tricastin nuclear plants between Aug. 11 and Aug. 15, EDF said.
Day-ahead forecasts will be reviewed and if confirmed will lead to specific notifications, the company said.
Nuclear output in France has been relatively consistent this year, following years of disruption caused by extended maintenance.
EDF sometimes limits production when temperatures are near a threshold that varies depending on the nuclear plant.
French nuclear plants have some 46.5 gigawatts (GW) of available capacity, with about 76% online.
