ANKARA, Sept 24 (Reuters) -Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Tuesday.

The lira TRYTOM=D3 was quoted at 34.14 against the U.S. dollar at 0429 GMT, compared with a close of 34.15 on Monday.


GLOBAL MARKETS

Asian stocks rose on Tuesday to their highest in more than two and half years, boosted by a slew of Chinese stimulus measures while expectations for more U.S. rate cuts kept risk sentiment aloft and the dollar under pressure.


TURKEY AT U.N.

Turkey, among the world's sharpest critics of the Israeli military operation in Gaza, will use the U.N. General Assembly this week to highlight what it says is a genocide unfolding there and will urge international pressure on Israel.


ERDOGAN PROGRAMME

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan will address the annual United Nations General Assembly session in New York. He is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with other leaders.

On Monday, he met the leaders of Greece, Germany, Kuwait, and Iran, as well as the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), before addressing Turkish and American businesspeople.


PARLIAMENT SPEAKER

Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus will hold talks in Moscow, where he went to attend a meeting of Turkish-Russian Businesspeople Union.


VICE PRESIDENT

Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz will visit the offices of the ruling AK Party in the western coastal province of Izmir, attend local events and meet with businesspeople there.

The Turkish central bank will announce the capacity utilisation rate for September. (0700 GMT)

The central bank will publish the manufacturing confidence index for September. (0700 GMT)

The Tourism Ministry is scheduled to release foreign arrivals data for August. (0800 GMT)


TURKEY-GREECE

An improvement in Greek-Turkish relations could help U.N. efforts revive talks between Cyprus' divided communities, Greece's foreign minister said on Monday ahead of a meeting between the Turkish and Greek leaders in New York on Tuesday.


TURKISH-AMERICAN ACTIVIST

Turkey will submit evidence about Israel's killing of a Turkish-American woman in the West Bank this month to the United Nations Security Council, International Court of Justice (ICJ) and the International Criminal Court (ICC), its justice minister said on Monday.
