ANKARA, Sept 26 (Reuters) -Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Thursday.

The lira TRYTOM=D3 traded at 34.17 against the U.S. dollar at 0432 GMT, weakening from a close of 34.16 on Wednesday.


GLOBAL MARKETS

Asian stocks bucked the global trend to extend a rally on Thursday, fuelled by persistent optimism over China's aggressive stimulus package, although there were signs some of that enthusiasm was starting to ebb.


PARLIAMENT SPEAKER

Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus will hold talks with the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of St Petersburg, Alexander Belsky, in Russia.


TRANSPORT MINISTER

Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu will attend the opening of the Istanbul Airshow civil aviation forum and a meeting with media representatives (0700 GMT). He will later visit the eastern province of Bingol.


CENTRAL BANK MINUTES

The central bank will release the minutes of this month's monetary policy committee meeting, where it left its policy rate unchanged at 50%. (1100 GMT)


CENTRAL BANK DATA TRNFR=ECI

The central bank will release its weekly data, including on forex reserves. (1130 GMT)


ISRAEL-LEBANON CONFLICT

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan told Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Wednesday that the international community must urgently implement a solution to stop Israel's aggression, the Turkish presidency said, adding he had also voiced support for Lebanon.


BOTAS TALKS WITH IRAN

Turkish state energy company Botas said on Wednesday that it had held talks with Iran's national natural gas company NIGC for the long-term supply of natural gas from Iran to Turkey.


CYPRUS TALKS

Cyprus' president said on Wednesday he was ready to immediately resume reunification talks over the ethnically divided island, urging regional rival Turkey to also engage in the effort.


TURKEY-GREECE

Greece and Turkey will explore whether they can start talks aimed at demarcating their maritime zones, Greece's foreign ministry said on Wednesday.


FENERBAHCE

Turkish basketball club Fenerbahce have withdrawn their players from international duty in response to a provocative gesture made by the national team coach during Tuesday's friendly between Greek side Panathinaikos and Turkey's Galatasaray.
