- Olive Garden owner Darden Restaurants DRI.N struck a delivery deal with Uber Technologies UBER.N, betting that shuttling pasta and breadsticks to diners at home can help reverse flagging sales as consumers spend less at restaurants.


- Disney DIS.N plans to move away from its use of Slack as a company-wide workplace communication tool after hackers stole and leaked more than a terabyte of company data online.

- Advertising holding company Publicis Groupe PUBP.PA said it bought commerce marketing agency Mars United Commerce. The deal values Mars at around $600 million, according to a person familiar with the matter.

- German media empire Axel Springer will be split between CEO Mathias Doepfner and private equity firm KKR KKR.N, the company said on Thursday, in a deal that secures the billionaire chief executive's control over news titles Bild and Politico.
