- California's Attorney General Rob Bonta filed a lawsuit against Exxon Mobil XOM.N, accusing the oil giant of misleading consumers about the recyclability of plastic products and polluting the state.


- U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said on Monday he would slap a 200% tariff on John Deere's DE.N imports into the country if the company moved production to Mexico as planned.


- The U.S Commerce Department proposed banning Chinese and Russian components inside of connected vehicles on U.S. roads, significantly escalating the Biden administration's effort to prevent Washington's top adversaries from spying on Americans.
