On the U.S. economic front, the Conference Board is scheduled to report that its consumer confidence index likely increased to 104 in September, compared to a reading of 103.3 in the prior month.


Novo Nordisk CEO Lars Jorgensen is set to testify in a hearing focusing on U.S. prices for weight loss drugs Ozempic and Wegovy in front of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions.


Matt Perlberg, president of Cigna's Evernorth Health Services business, is expected to speak at the Bernstein Healthcare Forum.


Bank of Canada Governor Tiff Macklem is scheduled to participate in a discussion at Canadian Forum 2024 co-hosted by the Institute of International Finance and the Canadian Bankers Association in Toronto.


For Latin America's second-largest economy, Mexico, its statistics agency INEGI is due to report that consumer prices probably rose 0.15% in the first half of September, after falling 0.03% in the prior month. Annually, consumer prices are expected to have risen 4.73% in the first half of the current month, after advancing 5.16% in August.
