EUROPE MARKETS HEAD FOR MIXED START; MIDDLE EAST IN FOCUS

European futures are heading for a mixed start, as attention remains on latest developments in the Middle East and traders position for the closely watched U.S. nonfarm payrolls due later, with forecasts for it to grow by 140,000 in September.

EuroSTOXX50 STXEc1 futures are up 0.1%, as are DAX futures FDXc1 while FTSE futures FFIc1 are heading in the opposite direction, down 0.1%.

Denmark's DSV DSV.CO has raised $5.5 billion in a share issue to partially finance its acquisition of Schenker.

In earnings, British pub group JD Wetherspoon JDW.L said annual profit rose 73.5%.

Elsewhere, European Union members face a pivotal vote on Friday on whether to impose tariffs of up to 45% on imports of Chinese-made electric vehicles in the bloc's highest profile trade case, which risks retaliation from Beijing.
