The Italian energy group said on Thursday that U.S. fund KKR KKR.N would take a 25% stake in Enilive, in a deal that values the entire biofuel unit at 11.75 billion euros ($12.68 billion).


UNICREDIT CRDI.MI

The European Central Bank (ECB) should evaluate any deal between UniCredit and Germany's Commerzbank CBKG.DE purely based on the solidity of the resulting bank rather than national interests, ECB policymaker and Governor of the Bank of Italy Fabio Panetta said on Wednesday.


INTESA SANPAOLO ISP.MI

Italy's largest bank said on Wednesday it would save 500 million euros in staff costs starting from 2028 after reaching an agreementwith unions on Wednesday to fund an early retirement scheme for 4,000 employees.


(*) TELECOM ITALIA (TIM) TLIT.MI

The telecom company suspended and replaced its chief procurement on Wednesday after his office was searched as part of an investigation into alleged private corruption.

TIM said it was "an uninvolved and injured party in the affair".

The project by Italy's largest utility to build a solar cell and panel factory in Oklahoma is on hold because Enel has yet to find a financial partner, daily MF reported on Thursday. The Italian group is also waiting for the U.S. vote before making any move, the paper added.

SAIPEM SPMI.MI

The Italian energy contractor on Wednesday raised its full-year guidance and confirmed its plan to resume dividend payments next year, after beating expectations for third-quarter results.

Conference call on Q3 results (0830 GMT), followed by media briefing with CEO Alessandro Puliti and CFO Paolo Calcagnini (1000 GMT).


STELLANTIS STLAM.MI

Nearly 80 members of the U.S. Congress, including the Senate's top two Democrats, on Wednesday urged the automaker to honor its investment commitments that are part of its contract with the United Auto Workers union.

(*) Stellantis will launch by 2026 a demonstration fleet of vehicles fitted with solid-state batteries from U.S. startup Factorial, the two companies said on Wednesday.

Production at Italian plant of Atessa, Europe's largest plant for commercial vehicles, will increase from 650 to 800 units a day from Nov. 4, thanks to positive market signals, the automaker said on Wednesday.

Morningstar raised the long-term issuer rating to "BBB", with "stable" trend.
