XM recently organised an event at the Panamerican University to promote education to children in low-income families in Mexico City.

Families of low income are often forced to prioritise putting food on the table and keeping a roof over their kids’ heads above providing an education. As a result, many kids drop out of school because their families can’t afford to buy basic school supplies, which then limits their chances of building a better future for themselves.

To help some of these kids in Mexico City and encourage the importance of continuing their education, we made donated to the Panamerican University. We helped them to organise a family day event, where children could have fun playing games, winning prizes, dancing, breaking piñatas, and watching movies.

As part of the event, the Panamerican University donated 300 new backpacks full of school supplies, including coloured pencils, sharpeners, rubbers, scissors, pencil cases plus lunch boxes and a thermos.

We believe every child deserves to have access to education, regardless of their circumstances, and that donations like these can have a lasting and positive impact on the lives of the less fortunate.
